Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design, selection, coordination and detailing of architectural solutions
  • Translate conceptual ideas into architectural graphics and prepare design presentations to communicate ideas to clients
  • Analyze design concept of buildings and space in 2D/3D and create design presentations using freehand sketches, 2D/3D modeling and rendering software
  • Construct physical study and presentation models in paper, wood. foam and mixed media
  • Assist in preparation and presentation of proposals, reports & findings
  • Assist in the production of technical drawings
  • Assist and mentor younger design staff

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree from accredited college or university in Architecture
  • Professional expertise demonstrated through a minimum of 5-10 years of professional office experience in mid-to large-scale Higher Ed, Commercial, Public and Healthcare projects
  • Proficiency with computer software including AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, SketchUP, Rhino, (included in Creative Suite) Grasshopper, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Excellent visualization ability, creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong graphic ability, creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong graphic, verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to active participation as part of a team, as well as ability to work independently
  • Excellent planning, time management and organization skills; strong ability to multi-task
  • Awareness of and engagement in current design thinking and the local design community
