  • Overview

    The Project Designer is the individual assigned the responsibility for the design of an assigned project. The ideal candidate will have over ten years of professional experience, with 5 years experience with hospitality related projects.


    In addition to the general work responsibilities regarding 1)Job Knowledge, 2)Teamwork and Communication, 3)Individual Productivity and Quality of Work, 4)Reliability and Commitment and 5)Judgment and Decision Making, the Project Designer’s responsibilities include the following:      
    ◾Works with the Managing Principal, Project Officer, Team Leader, and/or Project Manager in determining the design direction for the project.

    ◾Expands awareness, and works to acquire knowledge and expertise regarding new sources and technologies as it relates to design.

    ◾Plans, schedules, and applies appropriate techniques to communicate design concepts to the Owner and project team.

    ◾Understands the project(s) scope, and plans and develops concepts and approaches appropriate to the budget (FF&E and construction) and the disciplines in carrying out the project work.

    ◾Works with other team members to produce appropriate deliverables such as design presentations, drawings, models, and other media as determined by the needs of the project.

    ◾Supports the office and co-workers through active mentoring, continuing education and training of team members within the discipline.

    ◾Establishes the project scope and budget in its entirety with the client and communicates this scope between the client and the project team.

    ◾Identifies changes in the project scope and requests additional services in a timely manner.

    ◾Establishes and maintains strong client relationships as evidenced by repeat work generated and positive referrals.


    Over 10 years of prefessional experience

    Five years of hospitailty design experience
