  • Overview

    Leo A Daly, an international design firm with 30 offices worldwide, is looking a Full-Time Interior Design Intern. The ideal candidate will be someone who is creative and energetic to work on projects across multiple market sectors, including Healthcare, Corporate, and Senior Living. Experience and interest in Federal projects, and specifically projects with the DoD, is a plus.

    Responsibilities

    • Reports to Project Designer as assigned,
    • Work closely and collaboratively with office’s Senior Interior Designers and Project Manager,

    • Verifies scope of work with supervisor,

    • Support the development of project deliverables and meeting overall project design schedule,

    • Prepares materials for design presentations,

    • Support development and coordination of FF&E specifications,

    • Perform field verifications, coordinate assembly of project books,

    • Coordinate work with in-house team and consultants,

    • Present designs and communicate effectively with team and clients,

    • Follow and be able to speak to current industry trends on space, function, lighting, finishes, furniture and equipment, etc.,

    • Works in collaboration with other project team members to produce high quality interior design projects,
    • Within the team context, assists with design efforts, design presentation, development, and/or construction contract documentation,
    • Applies all appropriate techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out assignments,
    • Works to acquire new technical expertise to enhance their capabilities,
    • Shares expertise with others,
    • Upon Graduation is prepared to pursue relevant registration in a timely manner,
    • Completes work assignments with a high degree of quality, yet with regard to time and budget constraints,
    • Demonstrates initiative in professional development,
    • Takes responsibility for and checks own work.

    Qualifications

     

    • Technical requirements include high level competency in use of design and production software (i.e., AutoCAD, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and knowledge of MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is also required.
    • Experience in Revit.
    • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization and requires a strong team-oriented approach, as well as excellent organization and time management skills.
    • The position requires a Masters Degree in an accredited Interior Design program.
