  • Overview

    Leo A Daly, an award winning, International Architecture, Interior Design, Planning and Engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to join us in our  who will be responsible for scheduling and leading the production of high-quality qualifications packages, proposals, and presentations. The preferred candidate must have past experience within the DC area's A/E/C community and be able to work collaboratively with architects, engineers, business development, marketing and management staff to develop materials that effectively communicate large volumes of information in a targeted, strategic and compelling manner. Candidate must possess a thorough understanding of current industry trends and standards. He/She must possess excellent organizational, writing, editing, graphic and strategic critical thinking skills and have capability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization. Business Development support experience is a plus.


    Staying abreast of industry, market, regulatory and technological developments to maintain competitive advantage;
    Monitor publications and Websites (ie; FedBizOps) for project opportunities; Responsible for tracking opportunities and responses;
    Working directly with the office's Managing Principal, Market Sector Leaders, and other marketing staff to assist in identifying project opportunities;
    Scheduling, implementing and supervising the RFP process, including Go/No Go procedure, RFP planning meetings, strategic teaming, and presentation planning/coaching sessions, arranging debriefs;
    Leading and directing efforts to support business development and deliver winning proposals;
    Coordinating the development, writing, editing, proofreading and production of proposals, statement of qualifications, presentations, resumes, project descriptions, and related marketing/proposal materials for content clarity, compliance, and key messages;
    Translating high level project approaches into detailed and compelling proposal content;
    Providing input, in conjunction with the leadership team, into the strategic positioning and development of client-focused proposal responses that deliver clear statements of value;
    Coordinating all proposal materials (graphics, text, forms, and subconsultant material) for assigned proposals and presentations;
    Writing non-technical portions of proposals and editing technical portions of proposals;
    Creating and/or selecting diagrams, tables, charts, and other graphics to clearly communicate required information;
    Collaborating with business developers/senior managers/directors in the creation, organization, and execution of targeted marketing campaigns including printed, electronic, and web-based initiatives;
    Overseeing the marketing database (Deltek Vision) including but not limited to client and prospect information, marketing campaigns and active pursuits;
    Additional Responsibilities include:
    Procuring and scheduling project photography;
    Identifying and leading Award Submission opportunities;
    Aggregating content and publishing to Social Media outlets;


    Degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or related fields;
    Minimum of 7 years of experience with a top tier A/E/C, Real Estate related or large corporate firm required;
    Excellent organizational and time management skills;

    Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously;
    Experience leading teams through all stages of proposal development and production;
    Experience managing multiple proposals simultaneously while ensuring strict adherence to QAQC protocols;
    Strong background using graphic/design software (i.e. InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) and CRM / information management programs (i.e. Deltek Vision);
    Proficiency using MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook);
    Marketing experience in Federal, Educational, Corporate, and/or Aviation sectors a plus;
    SMPS CPMS Certification is a plus;
    Graphic Design talent and experience a ++
    Past experience leading Social Media campaigns a plus;
