  • Overview

    Exciting opportunity for the right person to work as the Payroll Administrator for one of the largest architectural engineering firms in the United States. Administers employee payroll and provides employee and office support for the payroll function.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

    • Process bi-weekly payroll using the ADP Workforce Now software for 800+ employees
    • Input data for all new hires and all changes related to the payroll function – including but not limited to salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations, and employee deductions – into the ADP Workforce Now software and the Deltek Vision accounting software.
    • Compile payroll data and handle issues such as garnishments, Paid Time Off (PTO), and other miscellaneous items.
    • Review employee time sheets for completeness and accuracy related to overtime, holidays and exempt or non-exempt status employees
    • Contact appropriate supervisors for any related payroll issues associated with employees, timesheets, or data submitted
    • Generate various bi-weekly and as needed reports from the ADP payroll system and the Deltek Vision accounting system.
    • Process vouchers and make necessary accounting entries, issue checks as they relate to garnishments, process payroll bank payments and employee reimbursements
    • File all paperwork associated with payroll
    • Perform other related duties as required and assigned


    • 2 to 3 years of ADP experience required
    • Strong working knowledge of ADP’s web based WorkForce Now Payroll and HR & Benefits module.
    • Proficiency in all Payroll, HR & Benefits and Custom Reporting with the ADP software.
    • Solid understanding of payroll and payroll tax laws
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Clear written and verbal communications
    • Good time management skills
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Work well in a team environment
    • Able to maintain confidential information
