  • Overview

    This full-time project interior designer will work on a wide variety of creative projects and be responsible for conceptual design, design development and construction documentation.  The candidate will collaborate with a multi-disciplined team of designers, architects and engineers and have the capability to produce documentation as well as delegate and manage the work of junior designers.

    Responsibilities

    • Ability to develop functional requirements and project design criteria for a wide variety of building types
    • Requires substantial knowledge of design, planning principles and construction documents
    • Knowledge of interior code
    • Knowledge of construction administration and multi discipline coordination
    • Performs work requiring independent judgement in evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedure and criteria
    • Strong knowledge of both interior products and furniture
    • Ability to program client’s needs
    • Ability to develop project FF&E procurement packages
    • Ability to writes reports and specifications
    • Ability to works directly with clients and interpret their needs

     

    Qualifications

     

     

    • Technical requirements include high level competency in use of design and production software (i.e., Revit, Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch Up, etc.) and knowledge of MS Office Suite. 
    • Must have the ability to work collaboratively with individuals throughout the organization and requires a strong team-oriented approach, as well as excellent organization and time management skills. 
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
    • The position requires a degree in Interior Design or Architecture with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.  Certified Interior Designer (CID) and LEED accreditation is a plus.
