Responsibilities

  • Responsible to manage design contracts for the US Federal Government with a primary focus on Depart of Defense, Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, and National Guard projects.  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of:
    • Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC)
    • Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) (SpecsIntact)
    • DOD Installation Design Standards
  • Be responsible for compliance with budgets, financial and contractual requirements of projects.
  • Directly manage small Minor Capital / SRM, as well and large complex projects.
  • Provide technical leadership to project delivery teams.
  • Establish and discuss project goals, objectives, design standards, and procedures with project personnel, Market Sector Leader(s), and Director of Operations.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal meetings with staff and consultants to ensure compliance of construction documentation and design specifications with contractual scope of work, codes and standards, regulations, design guides, construction budget and design delivery schedule.  
  • Manage various pre-design services including DoD planning, programming, feasibility studies, facility condition assessment, site selection, and cost analysis.
  • Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations on the design and production of projects; present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Lead reviews with government agencies and various other jurisdictional agencies for code compliance.
  • Assist with managing the performance of design quality, financial, and strategic goals.
  • Monitor and review the technical quality of documents produced in accordance with government and company standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates.
  • Travel for project-related activities may be required.
  • Coordinate the work of professionals and technicians.
  • Exercise judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, working to solve problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects.
  • Competent in general conventional aspects of architecture and engineering design and construction practices.
  • Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria independently solves problems encountered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or similar disciplines from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of project management experience with new construction and renovation projects.
  • Professional expertise demonstrated through 10+ years of progressive experience working with Federal projects.
  • Large and Small project experience.
  • Proficiency with Bluebeam, SpecsIntact, and MS Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).
  • Experience leading large and small user groups through a project design process.
  • Working knowledge of current construction materials and methods and variety of project delivery and contracting processes.
  • No Adverse history which would prevent obtaining a Security clearance.
  • US Citizenship.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional registration.
  • Experience with Alternative Delivery methods.
  • Experience with Deltek VantagePoint.

Salary range for this position varies between $125,000 – $155,000, depending upon applicable experience.
