As a Mechnical Designer, you will perform preparation and layout of mechanical engineering contract documents under the direct supervision of one or more licensed mechanical engineers. 

Responsibilities

Mechanical Designers work as part of a multi-discipline team providing documentation of mechanical HVAC and piping systems during all phases of multiple simultaneous projects.  Work will be closely managed with direct supervision by Mechanical Engineers using sketches, redlines, and verbal discussion to provide direction.  Assignments include setting up and managing Revit MEP models, modeling mechanical equipment, ducts, and piping systems, detailing, and coordination of work with other disciplines. 

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sets up and manages basic Revit MEP models
  • Performs Revit modeling and detailing
  • Attends internal meetings
  • Assists to perform cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
  • Assists to conduct site investigations and observations
  • Assists with addendums and RFIs by incorporating agreed upon changes in the contract documents.
  • Additional assignments may include assisting with performing construction contract administration
  • Travel for project related activities relative to existing building investigations or construction jobsite observations may be required

Qualifications

  • 0-3 years of experience
  • Associates Degree from Technical College or 4-year non-engineering degree
  • Knowledge and proficiency with Revit MEP is required
  • Experience or interest in the design of healthcare facilities is a plus.
